David Casey

David Casey serves as the CEO of Funding the Commons, where he focuses on building sustainable models for public goods funding. David is launching the Commons Lab, an incubator spun out from Funding the Commons.

David has experience across for-profit and non-profit fundraising. David is also a Celo Scout, identifying impactful startups for the Celo ecosystem focused on last mile fintech, payments, and remittances.

Previously, David was the Founder & CEO of ReSource Finance, where he developed a stablecoin protocol for business and trade credit, and NuMundo, a platform connecting individuals to transformational travel experiences that has been processing crypto since 2013. He is also an advisor for Gane.com and hyphen.earth

With a background in International Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, David is passionate about systems transformation, financial inclusion, and ecological economics.
