Erick Watson

Erick Watson serves as Managing Director at SproutVest, where he invests in and advises early-stage founders building in Web3, AI, and SaaS. His focus is on scalable systems that enhance trust, interoperability, and verifiability across decentralized and data-driven ecosystems.

Previously, Erick was Co-Founder & CEO of Randamu, a company developing bridgeless multi-chain interoperability and settlement tools powered by threshold cryptography. He led Randamu through its $3.3M pre-seed round led by Protocol Labs Venture Studio, advancing innovations in cross-chain orchestration, timelock encryption, and off-chain compute primitives. Erick also helped establish the Swiss-based Threshold Association and served as a steward for the League of Entropy and the drand randomness beacon, contributing to globally trusted cryptographic infrastructure relied upon over 32 billion times each year.

Earlier in his career, Erick held product and strategy roles at Google and Microsoft, bringing new technologies from concept to market across developer platforms, distributed systems, and open-source ecosystems.

At SproutVest, Erick continues to mentor founders, advise DAOs, and back teams building verifiable, resilient systems at the intersection of cryptography, compute, and capital.
