Tori Orr

Tori Orr is a Senior Associate on the U.S. investment team at NGP Capital, having joined in 2025.

Tori focuses on exploring investment opportunities across NGP's portfolio, with a particular interest in deep tech, industrial technology, enterprise software, cybersecurity, and edge and data infrastructure. Tori backs B2B startups from Series A to C across the US and Europe.

Prior to NGP Capital, Tori held early-stage investing roles at JetBlue Ventures, Vera Equity, Harlem Capital, and Dorm Room Fund. Tori's early career included roles as a Mechanical Design Engineer and Product Manager at Intel, and contributions to the launch of the Model 3 at Tesla.

Tori earned an MBA from The Wharton School, a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a B.S. in Mathematics from Spelman College. Tori is currently focused on technical diligence and partnering with teams that are architecting the future, while also committed to creating opportunities for minorities in entrepreneurship and tech.
