Alex Witt

Alex Witt is the Founding General Partner at Verda Ventures, a stablecoin infrastructure fund dedicated to emerging markets, the Global South, and cross-border payments.

Alex focuses on driving stablecoin adoption, enhancing cross-border commerce, and facilitating remittances to address financial exclusion. Alex also manages Stablescape.xyz, an open-source database that monitors over 3500 stablecoin companies in real time.

Prior to Verda Ventures, Alex gained a decade of experience in traditional finance at firms such as Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. Alex also co-founded and served as CFO of the SWFT Blockchain payment platform and was CFO at the Celo Foundation, where Alex played a key role in building out Celo's mobile-first stablecoin payment blockchain.

Alex holds a master's degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management.

Currently, Alex is focused on scaling innovative fintech solutions and fostering financial access in underserved regions.
