Ben Hemani is a Founding Partner at Bison Ventures, where Ben focuses on guiding frontier technology businesses towards commercial success and impact.

An engineer-turned-investor, Ben is passionate about businesses that utilize AI to enable innovation in the physical world, with current investments including Cadstrom, Cobot, Juvena Therapeutics, Grid Aero, Passkey, and Thinking Machines.

Prior to co-founding Bison Ventures in 2022, Ben worked at Cascade Asset Management Company, managing assets for the Gates Foundation and Gates family members, where Ben focused on venture capital investments across frontier technologies like surgical robotics, AI-enabled drug discovery, and alternative proteins.

Ben began an investing career over a decade ago at Braemar Energy Ventures, leading investments in climate tech companies such as ChargePoint.

Ben holds a B.E. and a Master of Engineering Management from Dartmouth and serves on the Dean's Council at Dartmouth's Thayer School of Engineering.

Currently, Ben is focused on backing early-stage frontier technology companies that aim to address pressing global challenges through breakthrough science and innovative technology.
