Nader Motamedy

Nader Motamedy is a Managing Partner at Safar Partners, an early-stage technology investment platform with over $1 billion of committed capital. Safar Partners focuses on investing in technology companies developed at leading universities, particularly in cleantech and advanced materials, artificial intelligence/information technology and robotics, and life sciences.

Nader has extensive experience in venture capital and technology investments, with a focus on identifying and commercializing innovations from leading universities. Nader serves on the Board of Aramis Biosciences and The Turing Company, and is a Board Observer and Senior Advisor to the CEO on Finance at Commonwealth Fusion Systems and Gradiant Corp..

Prior to co-founding Safar in 2018, Nader was the Senior Founding Partner, Chairman, and CEO of Caspian Private Equity (CPE), which managed over $3 billion. Earlier, Nader was a Founding Partner and member of the Board of Managers of Caspian Capital Management (CCM), managing over $5 billion of alternative assets. Nader began an investment career at Morgan Stanley in 1985.

Nader holds an MBA from Boston College and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Boston University. Nader is also actively involved in several youth assistance and development projects, including establishing the Paris St. Germain professional soccer team youth development program and its Foundation in the United States. Currently, Nader is focused on identifying disruptive technologies and scaling early-stage ventures.
